You might need to consider this picture book seriously before you unleash it on an unsuspecting audience. My five-year-old niece was my test subject, and she has been known to make me skip pages in the past when they’ve contained images she thinks are scary. Surprisingly she didn’t bat an eyelid at any of the roaring and rampaging, biting and kicking that fill the pages of this entertaining story.
When Wolfman escapes everyone hides in fear, even the army send a message, “Sorry, we can’t come. We’re too scared.” As Wolfman stomps his way to the house of the Chief of Police, it’s hard to imagine anything other than a horrible end will befall the poor traumatised man. Without spoiling the story, I will just say it turns out Wolfman isn’t infallible. This fabulous story could be ramped up to the max, you’ll have your audience sitting on the edge of their seats – as long as they don’t make you skip the scary stuff!
