A perfect place for Ted by Leila Rudge (2014)

I probably shouldn’t admit this, but I’m such a sucker for a dog wearing clothing (you’ll be pleased to know I have never owned a dog!)

Poor Ted doesn’t belong anywhere. In the pet store, nobody notices him. At the circus, all the fancy flying dogs get all the attention, and in spite of a very spiffy hat (and magnificent sweater) he is completely ignored at the pet pageant.IMG_1119

When it’s all feeling a bit hopeless, Ted spies a sign, “Wanted: Furry friend for Dot. Must enjoy long walks and ball games.”

And lucky old Ted finds himself in the perfect place (complete with a sneakily fluffy twist).

A lovely story, with wonderful illustrations, just right for an older preschool audience.
