Tap the magic tree by Christie Matheson (2013)

From its title alone, today’s picture book had my attention. And it just got better and better.

Another “interactive” book that this time features a gorgeous tree that transforms, with a little help from a tapping finger.

We begin with a bare tree trunk, and by tapping, shaking, rubbing and patting we draw out the magic in its branches.IMG_1165

The tree is a delight and each page introduces us to a new treaty tree-feature. The rhyming instructions roll off the tongue, making it a pleasure to read. A very clever book your audience will love.
