Itchy bear by Neil Griffiths; illustrated by Judith Blake (2002)

[Welcome to my week of speed reviews, fuelled mostly by sunshine and the occasional cocktail]

It’s summer = mosquitoes = itchiness. Boy oh boy can I sympathise with poor bear in today’s cute story.

Bear is all itches, and every time he begins to find relief from his plight, some stinky animal gets in the way.IMG_1266

“Oi, hand back that twig,” demanded a tiny millipede. “That’s part of the roof to our house. Go and scratch somewhere else!”

Eventually Bear gets to a delicious happy place. Hooray! Lovely illustrations and a fun story = goodness.
