Wanted! Ralfy Rabbit, book burglar by Emily MacKenzie (2015)

Ahhh… the cockles of my librarian-heart are feeling very warm today after discovering Ralfy and his book obsession.

Ralfy is no ordinary rabbit, he finds traditional rabbit things just not very interesting, instead he dreams of books. He makes lists of the books he has read, books he wants to read and recommendation lists for his family and friends. I love you Ralfy! (Oh and Ralfy, can I recommend Goodreads to help you keep track of all things book).

Sadly, Ralfy turns to a life of crime to feed his passion. When books start disappearing from Arthur’s bookshelf, he launches a surveillance operation, and discovers there has been a bunny book burglar in his house. But no-one believes Arthur and his far-fetched tales of IMG_1380thieving rabbits.

Finally Ralfy pushes his luck just that little bit too far and he finds himself in the hands of PC Puddle. Can anyone guess the delightful solution to this tragic story? The library of course!

The illustrations are a delight. A must-read for book (and rabbit) fans everywhere.
